User Interfaces

01 Challenge

Indonesian Gen Z gamers live on their mobile devices, yet they often abandon platforms that feel "too technical" or "too foreign." For Gameskii, the primary hurdle was building a data-heavy ecosystem—scrims, tournament brackets, and team management—without inducing cognitive fatigue. We had to prove that a sophisticated career-management tool could feel as effortless as scrolling through a social feed.

02 Relatability Over Complexity

I anchored the UX in "Everyday Relatability." Instead of forcing users to learn a new, high-concept navigation system, I utilized the mental models they already use in their daily digital lives.

Linear Pathing: I restructured the core flows (like "Join Tournament") into step-by-step linear tasks. This eliminated the "where do I go next?" anxiety by focusing the user on one decision at a time.

Semantic Iconography: Utilizing the 2x grid system from the brand guidelines, I designed a custom icon set where every glyph was tested for immediate recognition. If a user had to think for more than a second about what an icon meant, I redesigned it.

03 Output

The resulting UI is a balance of high-energy "E-sports" aesthetics and disciplined "Product Design" utility:

The Interface Logic: I leveraged the Mauritius Blue palette to create a stable, professional environment, using high-contrast gradients only for primary Action Buttons. This directed the user's eye naturally toward the most important tasks.

Typography for Speed: By using Goldman for headers, we maintained the aggressive energy of the gaming world, but I relied on Source Sans Pro for all data-heavy sections to ensure maximum readability during high-pressure tournament moments.

Emotional Feedback: We integrated subtle motion and UI "rewards" for completed actions (like successfully creating a team), turning a bureaucratic management task into a satisfying "win" for the user.
